    Let P age at the time of his marriage 8 years ago be 3x. His present age be = (5/3) × 3x = 5x According to question, => 5x – 3x = 8 => x = 4 years Now P age at the time of his marriage 8 years ago = 3x = 3 × 4 = 12 years And his present age = 5x = 5 × 4 = 20 years P’s sister age 8 years ago = 12 – 10 = 2 years So, present age of P’s sister = 2 + 8 = 10 years
