Question
The ratio of M to N is 4:9, and that of N to O is 3:2. If
the difference between O and M is 60, what is the total of M, N, and O?Solution
ATQ,
Let M = 4x and N = 9x
Then, O = 9x × (2/3) = 6x
Now according to the question,
O – M = 6x – 4x = 2x = 60
So, x = 60 / 2 = 30
Then, M + N + O = 4x + 9x + 6x = 19x = 570
