    Amount spent on travel = 50% of 0.7x = 0.5 Ă— 0.7x = 0.35x

    Now, 0.35x = 980

    ⇒ x = 980 / 0.35 = 2800

    Amount spent on travel = 0.35 Ă— 2800 = Rs. 980
