Question
In the questions given below there are four statements
followed by two conclusions I, II and III. You have to take the four given statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. Read all the conclusions and then decide which of the given conclusions logically follows from the given statements disregarding commonly known facts. Statements: Mostly Kites are Papers All Papers are Sticks Only a few Sticks are Threads All Threads are Wires Conclusion: I. Some Wires are Papers II. All Kites can be Threads III. Some Sticks are WiresSolution
All Papers are Sticks (A) + Only a few Sticks are Threads (I) → No conclusion. Hence conclusion I does not follow. Mostly Kites are Papers (A) + All Papers are Sticks (A) → All Kites are Sticks (A) + Only a few Sticks are Threads (I) → Probable conclusion →  All Kites can be Threads (A). Hence conclusion II follows. Only a few Sticks are Threads (I) + All Threads are Wires (A) → Some Sticks are Wires (I). Hence conclusion III follows.
