    In the following question, two statements are given

    each followed by two conclusions I, II & III. You have to consider the statements to be true even if they seem to be at variance from commonly known facts. You have to decide which of the given conclusions, if any, follows from the given statements. Statements : I. Some letters are paper. II. All papers are objects. III. Some objects are subjects. Conclusion: I. Some papers are not subjects. II. All subjects are objects.

    Solution

    All papers are objects (A) + Some objects are subjects (I) ⇒ No conclusion. Hence, conclusion I does not follow. Some objects are subjects (I) ⇒ Conversion ⇒ Some subjects are objects (I). Hence conclusion II does not follow.  Alternative Method: Conclusion I: Not necessarily true based on given venn diagram. Conclusion II:  Not necessarily true based on given venn diagram.   Hence, option (4) is the correct answer.
