and Woodland? Read the following information and answer the questions that follow: Eight people namely E, F, G, P, S, T, O and W live on different floors of eight storey building but not necessarily in the same order. Each of them likes different shoes viz. Woodland, Red chief, Bata, Adidas, Nike, Puma, Relaxo and Liberty but not necessarily in the same order. Four people live between the one who likes Nike and the one who likes Puma. Only one person lives between F and the one who likes Bata. The one who likes Adidas lives immediate below the floor on which the one who likes Puma lives. O lives in an even numbered floor but above 4th floor. G doesn’t live on the lowermost floor and at the floor just below or above O. G likes Nike and lives on an odd numbered floor. Two people live between T and the one who likes Adidas. P likes Liberty. T doesn’t like Woodland and Relaxo. E likes Bata and lives at one of the floor above W. Three people live between O and the one who likes Woodland The person who likes Relaxo or Red chief doesn’t live at the lowermost floor. S does not like Adidas.Solution
By using the given conditions, O lives in an even numbered floor but above 4th floor. From this there can be two possible cases. T doesn’t like Woodland and Relaxo. From this case-2 will be eliminated. Further E likes Bata and lives at one of the floor above W. So, E can live on 5th floor only. P likes Liberty. So, P lives on ground floor and W lives on 2nd floor. The person who likes Relaxo and RED CHIEF doesn’t live at the lowermost floor. So, O likes Relaxo. S does not like Adidas. So, T likes RED CHIEF and F lives on 7th floor. So, the final arrangement is----        Â
