Question
Find the odd pair out:
Answer the questions based on the information given below: Ten persons A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J live in a building, which has five floors where bottommost floor is numbered as 1 and the topmost floors is numbered 5. Each floor has two types of flats i.e. B1 and B2 such that floor 2 of B1 is immediately above floor 1 of B1 and immediately below floor 3 of B1 and so on. Similarly, floor 2 of B2 is immediately above floor 1 of B2 and immediately below floor 3 of B2 and so on. B1 is to the west of B2. C lives immediately above G, who doesn’t live on a prime numbered floor. A lives to the south east of G.J’s floor is immediately below A’s floor but they live in different types of flat. E and F live on same numbered floor. I lives above D, who lives to the north east of E.H lives on floor 1.Solution
1. C lives immediately above G, who doesn’t live on a prime numbered floor. 2. A lives to the south east of G.J’s floor is immediately below A’s floor but they live in different types of flat. So, G and C live on floor 4 and floor 5 of B1, respectively. A lives on floor 2 or floor 3. E and F live on same numbered floor.  H lives on floor 1 of one of the buildings, this is not possible in case II, so case II is rejected.  I lives above D, who lives to the north east of E. So, E and F live on floor 3. I lives on floor 5 of B2. B lives on floor 2 of B1. The final table is given below
