The question given below consists of two statements

numbered I and II given below it. You have to decide whether the data provided in the statements are sufficient to answer the question. Read all the statements and give answer. Eight persons D, E, F, G, H, I, J and K sit around a square table facing outside the centre. Four of them sit at the corners and other four sit on middle of each sides. Who sits third to the right of G? Statement I: K sits second to the right of D. Two persons sit between D and I. I doesn’t sit along any side. J sits to the immediate right of I. F sits third to the right of J. H sits to the immediate left of E. Statement II: F sits second to the left of G, who sits at a corner. J sits third to the left of F. K sits second to the left of J. H sits second to the right of I, who sits adjacent to K. E doesn’t sit adjacent to G.
A Data given in statement I alone is sufficient to answer the question. Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Data given in statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question. Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Data given in either statement I or statement II alone is sufficient to answer the question. Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Data given in both statement I and statement II are sufficient to answer the question. Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E Data given in both statement I and statement II are not sufficient to answer the question. Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

From statement I alone, as K sits second to the right of D. Two persons sit between D and I. I doesn’t sit along any side. J sits to the immediate right of I. F sits third to the right of J. H sits to the immediate left of E, so Either J or K sits third to the right of G. From statement II alone, as F sits second to the left of G, who sits at a corner. J sits third to the left of F. K sits second to the left of J. H sits second to the right of I, who sits adjacent to K. E doesn’t sit adjacent to G, so Clearly, J sits third to the right of G. Statement II alone is sufficient to answer the given question.
