Question
Train E leaves Kanpur at a certain time. After 6 hours, a superfast train leaves the same station and travels in the same direction at the speed of 180 km/h. If the superfast train catches up Train E in 12 hours, then what is the speed of Train E?
Solution
Distance travelled by the superfast train in 12 hours = 180 Γ 12 = 2160 km
Speed of Train E = 2160 / (6 + 12) = 120 km/hr
