      Question

      A and B together, B and C together and A and C

together can complete a piece of work in 10 days, 11 days and 16 days respectively. Find the ratio of the efficiencies of A, B and C, respectively.
A 53:73:17 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 41:19:14 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 63:113:47 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 7:23:17 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E 22:48:43 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

Let, the total work be 880 units (LCM of 10, 11 and 16)
Amount of work done by A and B together in one day = 880/10 = 88 units
Amount of work done by B and C together in one day = 880/11 = 80 units
Amount of work done by A and C together in one day = 880/16 = 55 units
      Amount of work done by A, B and C together in one day = (88 + 80 + 55)/2 = 111.5 units
      Amount of work done by A alone in one day = 111.5 – 80 = 31.5 units
      Amount of work done by B alone in one day = 111.5 – 55 = 56.5 units
      Amount of work done by C alone in one day = 111 – 88 = 23.5 units
So the desired ratio = 63:113:47
