Question
A criminal is 1.5 km in front of a soldier. The soldier starts chasing him at 10 m/s, while the criminal runs at 6 m/s. Find how much time it will take for the soldier to catch him.
Solution
ATQ,
Relative speed = 10 β 6 = 4 m/s
Distance = 1.5 Γ 1000 = 1500 metres
Required time = (1500 / 4) = 375 seconds = (375 / 60) = 6 mins 15 secs
