Here time taken by both A and B is same, so the ratio of the distance covered by them will be equal to the ratio of their speeds. Therefore, ratio of the distance covered by A and B = 15:25 = 3:5 Let the distance covered by A and B be 3x km and 5x km respectively. According to question, => 5x – 3x = 30 => x = 15 Therefore, distance between them before starting = 5x + 3x = 8x = 120 km
