    Question

    A car running with a speed of ‘x’ m/sec

makes 9 rounds of a circular field having radius 49 metres, in 12 seconds. Find the time taken by car to cover 600 metres with the speed of (x – 31) m/sec.
A 7 seconds Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 5 seconds Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 3 seconds Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 2 seconds Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Distance covered by the car = 9 × 2πr = 2 × (22/7) × 49 × 9 = 2772 metres
    Speed of the car = 2772/12 = 231 m/sec
    Required time taken = 600/(x – 31) = 600/200 = 3 seconds
