Let the number of boys and girls strength in 2015 be 5x and 4x, respectively.
According to question,
1.18 × 5x + 1.2 × 4x = 3852
5.9x + 4.8x = 3852
10.7x = 3852, x = 360
So, required number of girls strength = 4x = 1440
