friends P, Q and R in the ratio of 4:2:5 respectively, but mistakenly he distributed in the ratio of 5:3:2 respectively. Find the difference between amount received by P mistakenly and the amount that P should have actually received.Solution
Amount that should be received by P initially = [4/(4 + 2 + 5)] × 4400 = Rs.1600 Amount received by P mistakenly = [5/(5 + 3 + 2)] × 4400 = Rs.2200 Required difference = 2200 – 1600 = Rs.600
