The ratio between two numbers is 2:3. If each number is increased by 6, the ratio between then become 4:5, find the difference between numbers.
Solution
Let first number be 2x and the second number is 3x. According to the question, => (2x + 6)/(3x + 6) = 4/5 => 10x + 30 = 12x + 24 => x = 3 Required difference = 3x β 2x = x = 3
