    6,000/- and gives a discount of 10%. He also gives a pen drive worth Rs. 600 free with the mobile phone and actually earns a profit of 25% by selling the mobile phone. Find the cost price of the phone.

    Solution

    S.P = 90% of 6,000 = Rs. 5,400 & Profit = 25%
    ∴ C.P = 5400 × ( 100/125) = 4,320
    Since pen drive worth Rs. 600 is also given,
    ∴ C.P of the mobile phone = 4,320 – 600 = Rs. 3,720.
