the book's marked price, which was Rs. 60 less than the selling price. Neha had 55% of the marked price. If Neha purchased the book and had Rs. 90 left, find the selling price of the book.Solution
ATQ,
Let the marked price of the book be Rs. ‘x’.
So, money with Priya = Rs. 0.30x
Money with Neha = Rs. 0.55x
Selling price of the book = 0.30x + 60 = 0.55x – 90
0.25x = 150 ⇒ x = 600
So, selling price of book = 0.30 × 600 + 60 = 180 + 60 = Rs. 240
