Question
The income of A is 75% more than income of B and the income of C is 50% less than the sum of income of A and B. Income of C is what percent less than income of A?
Solution
Let, income of A, B and C is Rs. a, Rs. b and Rs. c respectively. According to question, a = 1.75b And, c = 0.5 Γ (a + b)
= 0.5 Γ (1.75b + b)
= 0.5 Γ 2.75b
= 1.375b So, c/a = 1.375b/1.75b = 0.7857 So, income of C is 21.43% less than income of A.
