A Rs. 5,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Rs. 3,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Rs. 4,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs. 7,500 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E Rs. 6,000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

Let the income of 'A' be Rs. 'x' Therefore, income of 'B' = Rs. (x − 1000) Difference between their savings
    = 0.80x − 0.80(x − 1000)
    = 0.80x − 0.80x + 0.80 × 1000
    = Rs. 800 Therefore, income of 'C' = (800 / 0.16) = Rs. 5,000
