Let the numbers be ‘x’ and ‘y’ respectively.
According to the question,
⇒ 0.55x = 0.33y
⇒ x/y = 0.33 / 0.55 = 3/5
So the numbers are in the ratio 3 : 5
Sum of the numbers = 3 + 5 = 8 units = 352
⇒ 1 unit = 352 ÷ 8 = 44
⇒ Difference = (5 – 3) units = 2 units = 88
