    Question

    28% of ‘k’ added to 72% of ‘l’ gives a total of

    144. If ‘l’ is 48 more than ‘k’, then find the value of (2k – l).
    A 45 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    B 32 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    C 50 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
    D 90 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    ATQ,

    00.28k + 0.72l = 144…….. (1)

    And, l – k = 48………. (2)

    On solving equation (1) and (2), we get

    k = 80 and l = 128

    Therefore, (2k – l) = 160 – 128 = 32
