    35% of ‘p’ and 55% of ‘q’ together sum up to 190.

    If ‘q’ is 50 greater than ‘p’, then find the value of (2p – q).

    Solution

    ATQ,

    0.35p + 0.55q = 190…….. (1)

    And, q – p = 50………. (2)

    On solving equation (1) and (2), we get

    p = 100 and q = 150

    Therefore, (2p – q) = 200 – 150 = 50
