    If the percent value is asked then we must ignore the real values. Here 4/9th is males. Let the total population be 9. Then the number of males = 4 And the number of females = 5 Married males = 50% of4 = 2 unmarried males = 2 Married females = 40% of 5 =2 unmarried females = 5-2= 3 Required percentage = 5/9 100= 55.55%
