Question
A retailer buys three types of Rice bags at ₹60, ₹40
and ₹20 per kg respectively. He mixes them in the ratio of 1:2:3 by weight and sold them at a profit of 35%. At what price does he sell the Rice bags?Solution
ATQ, we can say that Let the dealer purchases 1 kg, 2 kg and 3 kg of Rice bag individually of each type Then, the price of total Rice bags is = [(1 x 60) + (2 x 40) + (3 x 20)] = 200 As the total Rice bags weight 6 kg and the retailer makes a profit of 35%, Then SP of the Rice bag/kg will be = [200 x (135/100) x (1/6)] = Rs.45/kg
