    Let the total marks of the test be ‘x’ Therefore, marks scored by P = 0.3x Therefore, passing marks of the test = 0.3x + 30 Marks scored by Q = 0.40x Also, passing marks of the test = 0.40x – 22 Therefore, 0.3x + 30 = 0.4x – 22 Or, 0.1x = 52 Or, x = 52/0.1 = 520 Therefore, total marks of the test = 520
