    Let the total marks of the test be ‘x’ Therefore, marks scored by P = 0.30x Therefore, passing marks of the test = 0.30x + 45 Marks scored by Q = 0.40x Also, passing marks of the test = 0.40x – 21 Therefore, 0.30x + 45 = 0.40x – 21 Or, 0.1x = 66 Or, x = 66/0.1 = 660 Therefore, total marks of the test = 750
