C Rs. 16000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs. 18000 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E Rs. 15900 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

    Solution

    Let the monthly salary of the man be Rs. β€˜x’. Money spent on rent and transportation = (22 + 14)% of x = Rs. 0.36x Remaining money = (x – 0.36x) = Rs. 0.64x Money spent on food and entertainment = (27 + 42)% of 0.64x = Rs. 0.4416x Remaining money left = 0.64x – 0.4416x = 0.1984x So, 0.1984x = 3571.20 x = Rs. 18000
