Let her income be 100%. Remaining income = (100 - 15)% = 85% Let the money spent on travel and food be Rs. 5x and Rs. 3x respectively. Now, according to question, => 5x – 3x = 612 => x = 306 Total money spent on travel and food together = 8x = 2448 => 85% --- 2448 => 100% ----- 2880 Therefore her income is Rs. 2880.
