Question
A and B invested Rs. 36000 and Rs. 24000 in a business.
After 6 months, C joined with Rs. 30000. At the end of the year, Aβs share in profit is Rs. 4800 more than Bβs share. Find the total profit earned.Solution
Profit share ratio = (36000 Γ 12) : (24000 Γ 12) : (30000 Γ 6)
= 432000 : 288000 : 180000
= 24 : 16 : 10 Sum = 24 + 16 + 10 = 50
Let total profit = 50x
ATQ,
24x β 16x = 4800
8x = 4800
x = 600 Total profit = 50 Γ 600 = Rs. 30000
