    ATQ, Let the total quantity of mixture initially be '100y' litres. Quantity of water = 0.3 × 100y = '30y' litres. Quantity of milk = 100y - 30y = '70y' litres. ATQ: 70y=1.5×(30y+18) 70y=45y+27 25y=27 y=27/25 = 1.08  Therefore, initial quantity of water = 30 × 1.08 = 32.4 litres.
