Length of a rectangle is equal to the side of a square. If area of the square and rectangle is 900 m2 and 270 m2, respectively then find the perimeter of the rectangle.
Solution
Side of square = β900 = 30 metres Area of rectangle = 270 m2 Breadth Γ 30 = 270 Or, Breadth of the rectangle = 9 metres Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 Γ (9 + 30) = 78 metres
