    Solution

    Original perimeter of rectangular field = 2 × (60 + 40) = 200 m Increased length of rectangular field = 1.25 × 60 = 75 m Increased breadth of rectangular field = 1.45 × 40 = 58 m Increased perimeter of rectangular field = 2 × (75 + 58) = 266 m Required percentage increase = {(266 – 200)/200} × 100 = 33%
