Question
Find the difference between angle and its complement if
the angle is five-thirteenth of its complement.Solution
Let the angle be 'A'.
Complement of 'A' = 90° - A
So, 'A' = (5/13) X (90° - A)
Or, 13A = 450° - 5A
Or, 18A = 450°
Or, 'A' = 25°
Complement of 'A' = 90° - 25° = 65°
Required difference = 65° - 25° = 40°
Hence, option b.
