travel 275 km. If the speed of the stream is (4/11)th of downstream speed of the boat, then find the time taken by the boat to cover 308 km in still water.Solution
Downstream speed of the boat = 275/6.25 = 44 km/hr Speed of the stream = 44 x (4/11) = 16 km/hr So, speed of the boat in still water = 44 – 16 = 28 km/hr Required time taken = 308/28 = 11 hours
