    Solution

    Downstream speed of the boat = 130/10 = 13 km/hr Upstream speed of the boat = 120/12 = 10 km/hr Speed of boat in still water = (13 + 10)/2 = 11.5 km/hr Distance travelled by the boat in still water in 4 hours = 11.5 × 4 = 46 km
