Downstream speed of the boat = 120/12 = 10 km/hr Upstream speed of the boat = 100/10 = 10 km/hr Speed of boat in still water = (10 + 10)/2 = 10 km/hr Distance travelled by the boat in still water in 5 hours = 10 × 5 = 50 km
