    Solution

    Let the distance be x km. Speed upstream = 6 – 4 = 2 kmph Speed downstream = 6 + 4 = 10 kmph => (x/10) + (x/2) = 6 => (x + 5x)/10 = 6 => 6x = 60 => x = 10 km
