A Rs.1200 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B Rs.1581 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C Rs.1385 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D Rs.1450 Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      ATQ,

      Initial amount with 'P' = 4200 × (2/14) = Rs. 600

      Initial amount with 'R' = 4200 × (4/14) = Rs. 1200

      Initial amount with 'S' = 4200 × (3/14) = Rs. 900

      Amount given by 'Q' to 'R' = {(600 + 900) ÷ 2} × 0.80 = 750 × 0.80 = Rs. 600

      Final amount with 'R' now = 1200 + 600 = Rs. 1800

      Therefore, required average = (600 + 1800) ÷ 2 = Rs. 1200
