Question
The average salary of R, S, and T is Rs. 25000 and the
average salary of U and V is Rs. 17000. If the savings of R is 50% of the average salary of all five persons, then find the salary of R which is Rs. 14500 more than his savings..Solution
ATQ,
Total salary of all the five persons = 25000 × 3 + 17000 × 2 = Rs. 109000
Average salary of each person = 109000 ÷ 5 = Rs. 21800
Savings of R = 50% of 21800 = Rs. 10900
So, required salary of R = 10900 + 14500 = Rs. 25400
