70 but when he again went through his observations he realised that he took value of three observations as 54, 50 and 52 in place of 88, 50 and 68 respectively and also realised that total observations taken by him was 15. Find the original average of all observations taken by him.Solution
Sum of 16 observations = 16 ร 70 = 1120 Original average = {1120 + (88 + 50 + 68) - (54 + 50 + 52)}/15 = 1170/15 = 78
