A 25 yrs Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
B 64 yrs Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
C 35 yrs Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
D 44 yrs Correct Answer Incorrect Answer
E None of these Correct Answer Incorrect Answer

      Solution

      ATQ, Let present age of B = x According to question, A + C = 2x C = (3/4)x A − 6 = x ⇒ A = x + 6 Now, (x + 6) + (3x/4) = 2x Or, (4x + 24 + 3x)/4 = 2x Or, 7x + 24 = 8x Or, x = 24 So, B = 24 years A = 24 + 6 = 30 years Required sum = (A after 2 years) + (B after 8 years) = (30 + 2) + (24 + 8) = 32 + 32 = 64 years
