    Solution

    Let F = father's age, S = son's age. ATQ- F-S= 24 F-2=2S Substitute F = S + 24 into F-2=2S, (S+24)-2 =2S S+22=2S S = 22 F=22+24 = 46 father's age now is 46 years.
