      Let the present ages of Surjeet and Rakesh be 4x and 5x respectively Thus, (4x + 8)/ (5x + 8) = 6/7 28x + 56 = 30x + 48 30x - 28x = 56 – 48 2x = 8 x = 4 Sum of their ages = 4x + 5x = 9x = 9 × 4 = 36 years ∴ 70% of 36 = 70/100 × 36 = 25.2 years
