Total age of daughters = 4 × 8 = 32 years ----- (i) Total age of daughters and their parents = 6 × 16 = 96 years ----- (ii) Here mother is 4 years younger than father, Solving (i) & (ii) we get, Father’s age = 34 years Father’s age 2 years ago = 34 − 2 = 32 years
