    Let the present age of A, B and C be 3x, 4x and 5x respectively. According to the question, => A + B + C = 72 => 3x + 4x + 5x = 72 => x = 6 B’s age 12 years ago = 4x – 12 = 24 – 12 = 12 C’s age after 12 years = 5x + 12 = 30 + 12 = 42 Required ratio = 12 : 42 = 2:7
