Kaziranga National Park is located in the northeastern state of Assam, India. It spans across the districts of Nagaon, Golaghat, and Karbi Anglong The park was established in 1905 as a forest reserve to protect the dwindling rhinoceros population. It was declared a wildlife sanctuary in 1950 and later designated as a national park in 1974. aziranga National Park was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985 due to its exceptional natural habitat.
