He retained his title as Asia’s richest man for the third consecutive year. He is also the richest telecom entrepreneur on the 2023 M3M Hurun Global Rich List. India ranked third in the 2023 M3M Hurun Global Rich List, below the US and China, in terms of total billionaires in the country. With a wealth of $27 billion, Cyrus S Poonawalla of Serum Institute of India is the richest healthcare billionaire in the world, followed by Dilip Shanghvi and his family of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries with a net worth of $17 billion.
