Question
Which of the following is correct regarding Maslow's theory of workplace motivation?
Solution
Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory is a psychological theory that states a person is motivated by the fulfillment of five levels of needs. Maslow's five levels of need are: physiological, safety, social, esteem and self-actualiztion. As per Maslow, once a need is satisfied, it no longer motivates an individual and he now aims to satisfy the next need in the hierarchy and is thereby motivated by the next need in the hierarchy that he wants to achieve.
