    The State Bank of India organizes the SBI Clerk Exam to appoint Junior Associates (Customer Support and Sales) in its diverse branches nationwide.

    The SBI Clerk Notification for 2025 is now live on the SBI website. It lists 5180 jobs for SBI Clerk. Each job is for Junior Associate in Customer Support and Sales.

    This SBI Clerk job is for work in many SBI branches. The SBI Clerk exam has two stages. First stage is Prelims. The Prelims test has English, math, and reasoning. Second stage is Mains. The Mains test has four parts. You must pass both Prelims and Mains to get the job.

    SBI Clerk Vacancy 

    SBI Clerk 2025 has 5180 Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) posts. You can apply in one state or union territory only. You must know that state’s local language. 

    Vacancies differ by state. Uttar Pradesh has 514 seats JA 2025 -Detailed Advt. Maharashtra has 476 seats JA 2025 -Detailed Advt. Tamil Nadu has 380 seats, Karnataka and West Bengal each have 270 seats .

    Seats include regular and backlog vacancies. They cover SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwBD. Selection is by Prelims, Mains, and a local language test after Mains. 

    There is no inter-state transfer. You will work in the state you choose. Transfers within the same state circles are allowed only as per SBI rules. 

    Apart from the regular vacancies, there are provisions for horizontal reservations for PwBD candidates. Thus, the selection will be merit-based, and candidates will be posted in the state they applied for upon successful completion of the examination process.

    How to Apply Online for SBI Clerk? 

    The SBI Clerk Notification 2025 is on SBI's official website. However, before applying for the exam, you must make sure you meet the necessary qualifications.

    To do this, check the SBI Clerk Eligibility Criteria to ensure you can apply. To assist you with the SBI Clerk application process, here is the step-by-step procedure to apply. 

    • Only online mode of application is accepted. 
    • Visit the official website and click ‘Recruitment of Junior Associates’. 
    • Fill in all the essential details like Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email Id, and other details, and save the details. When the data is saved, a provisional registration number and password will be generated by the system and displayed on the screen. You should note down the registration number and password. 
    • After registration, login again to enter all further details as asked using your password and registration number. 
    • Enter all other details to complete the application form. 
    • Scan and upload your photograph, signature, thumb impression, and hand declaration as specified below- 

    Guidelines for Uploading the Photograph 

    • Dimensions: 200 X 230 pixels 
    • The photograph must be clear and passport-size 
    • The file size of the photograph should be between 20KB - 50 KB 
    • Format: JPG/JPEG 
    • The preferred background is White 

    Guidelines for Uploading the Signature 

    • The signature should be clear and legible 
    • Dimensions: 140 X 160 pixels 
    • The file size of the signature should be between 10KB and 20KB. The application will be rejected if it is below or exceeds the mentioned limit. 
    • The signature should be done with a running hand on a white background 

    Left thumb impression: 

    • The applicant has to put his left thumb impression on white paper with black or blue ink. 
    • The handwritten declaration should be of the applicant and not by any other person. 
    • File type: jpg/jpeg 

    Dimensions: 

    • 240 x 240 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality), i.e., 3 cm * 3 cm (Width * Height) 
    • File Size: 20 KB – 50 KB 

    Hand-written declaration: 

    • The handwritten declaration “I________(Name of the candidate), _______(Date of Birth) hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph, and left-hand thumb impression is of mine” should not be written in CAPITAL LETTERS. 
    • You must write the declaration in English on white paper with black or blue ink. 
    • The handwritten declaration should be in your handwriting. 
    • File type: jpg/jpeg 
    • Dimensions: 800 x 400 pixels in 200 DPI (Preferred for required quality), i.e., 10 cm * 5 cm (Width * Height) 
    • File Size: 50 KB – 100 KB 
    • Verify all details carefully, as any mistakes in the SBI Clerk application can not be rectified once the application is submitted. 
    • Pay the requisite application fee by using a debit card/credit card/Internet Banking. Payment of fees will be done through Online mode only. 
    • Take out the receipt of the application fee and print the application form for future use. 

    SBI Clerk Application Fee 

    You must pay the SBI Clerk application fee online. You can use a debit card, credit card, or Internet Banking. Any transaction charges are yours to bear. 

    SC, ST, PwBD, XS, and DXS candidates pay no SBI Clerk fee. General, OBC, and EWS candidates pay ₹750. This fee is non-refundable.  After payment, an e-receipt and your filled application form will appear on screen. You may print both for your records. 

    If your online payment fails, you must register again and pay the fee. You can also reprint the e-receipt and application form later.

    SBI Clerk Admit Card 

    SBI Clerk call letter is issued online 10 days before the exam. You download it from the SBI Clerk page on the SBI site. Use your Registration Number and Password or Date of Birth to login. 

    No hard copy of the SBI Clerk call letter or “Acquaint yourself booklet” will be sent by post. You must print them at home before the exam.  On exam day, bring the printed Prelims call letter and the Main exam call letter if you have qualified. Carry both to the center with other required documents. 

    Stick one passport photo on the SBI Clerk call letter. Carry two extra photos identical to the one on the call letter. Without these, you cannot sit for the exam. 

    Bring a valid photo ID proof like Aadhaar, PAN, or passport. Show the original and a self-attested copy with your SBI Clerk call letter. Failing to bring these will bar you from the exam hall. Keep your registered email and mobile active for updates on your SBI Clerk admit card and other exam advice. 

    SBI Clerk Pre-Exam Training 

    SBI ensures inclusivity by organizing pre-examination training (PET) online, for SC/ST/OBC/Ex-servicemen/PwBD category candidates. If you fall within any reserved category, you can benefit from this training by selecting the option during the SBI Clerk Notification online application process.

    Once released, candidates can download their pre-examination training call letter by entering their registration number and password/date of birth on the official website, as no physical copy will be sent via post, as mentioned in the SBI Clerk Notification

    All eligible candidates who wish to participate in the Pre-Examination Training must complete the relevant section in the online application form. Those opting for this training should log in through the Bank's website using their registration number and date of birth.

    Information regarding the schedule for the Pre-Examination Training will be communicated to candidates via their registered email and SMS, and no physical copies will be sent.
